Sol on the bias: The headwrap hack
This project is a “hack” of my SOL washcloth pattern. Like the original, I am sharing the details to make your own headwrap for free. My hope is that this project might provide a little brightness in this difficult summer!

Plover: Making No. 9 / SIMPLE
PLOVER is a featherweight cardigan with clean lines and quiet texture. It is named for the birds whose cheery presence kept us company during this issue's memorable photoshoot on Popham beach. Knit in a rustic single ply at a loose gauge, this versatile sweater is just the thing for cool mornings on the coast or chilly evenings around a campfire. The pattern is worked seamlessly from the top down, allowing you to try it on as you go to ensure the perfect fit.
How to make your local yarn/fabric shop fat friendly
I’m all for loving yourself but let’s remember that no one can self-love themselves into a chair that is too small for their body. This Valentine’s Day, as a gift of love and appreciation to myself and all my fellow fatties in the fiber community, I am sharing my top tips for any local yarn/fabric shop invested in making their space fat friendly. Please feel welcome to share widely!
Water Bearer: The Aquarius Cardigan
Water Bearer is a sweater inspired by and designed for the creative, justice-minded, free spirit of the Aquarian zodiac. With seamless top-down construction and a dramatic brioche shawl collar, this cardigan provides for an elegant and absorbing knit. The pattern includes 12 sizes, two length options, written and charted instructions for the brioche waves, and 4 video tutorials that cover everything from choosing the correct size to picking up stitches and working the i-cord bind off along the edges of the collar.
Meet Star Crossed
STAR CROSSED is a truly oversized pullover inspired by the stars, from the grand Polaris to each little twinkle in the night sky. The pattern is designed to work with a wide range of positive ease (8-18”), and the instructions include options for two necklines (cowl or boat neck) and measurements and yardage for two lengths (cropped or full). Featuring bottom-up, drop shoulder construction, the pattern also includes an optional modification for a custom fit bicep, so you can achieve your ideal oversized fit.
Alabama Chanin style MOH DRESS
I have been enamored with Alabama Chanin hand embellishment techniques since before I began sewing, and my sister’s wedding seemed like the perfect excuse to make something a little, well… extra. Linda picked a muted palette of bronze hues and neutrals for her bridesmaids and allowed us all to pick our own dresses (tbh tere was no way she was getting me into a matchy-matchy rtw bridesmaid gown anyway so it was a wise decision).
Introducing the Rift Tee
Rift cracks open all your assumptions about what a “basic tee” pattern should be. This lightweight, bottom-up knit includes instructions for two necklines, optional bust darts, and a custom fit bicep. The design features a slightly cropped body and a split high-low hem in twisted rib, giving it enough detailing to be interesting while maintaining a timeless simplicity.
